Several Associations were contacted so that they could inform their members of the trip. Initial contacts were initiated by Leonardo Gagliano with the Siculiana association.
Jul.27, 2005 - Activity promotion interview at CFMB radio with Ivana Bombardieri.
Following the interview the calls started to come in...
Giovanna Giordano, President of the Montreal Com.It.Es. offered to support the activity. Meetings were held at their offices in the Centro Leonardo da Vinci on August 2nd and August 9th. People already on the list and people interested to join the group took part - some 40 people were present at the meeting.


The group has 14 adults and 13 youths accompanied by 2 members of COPRAS.
Aug.13, 2005 At the youth meeting Anthony Gucciardo presented guidelines explained and answered questions of interest to the youth. Parents filled out authorization forms and reviewed the expected itinerary.


The tentative itinerary:
August 15 Depart from Montreal via KLM and Air France
16 Arrive in Roma, then transfer for Palermo, stay overnights at Astoria Palace;
17 Visits around Palermo;
18 Visit Erice, Marsala,
19 Leave Palermo for Agrigento, reach Siculiana Marina, stay overnights Casa per ferie Don Giustino;
23 Leave Siculiana for Taormina, stay overnights Hotel delle Palme;
27 Leave Taormina for Palermo, Isola delle femmine, Hotel Saracen;
29 Leave Palermo for Montreal.

After the Group returned to Montreal a meeting to review the trip was held September 24 2005 at the offices of the Montreal COMITES. With food and drink, pictures and stories were shared. An opportunity was given to each participant traveler to express pros and cons and to suggest improvements for future trips.
